Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has once again taken shots at the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. His latest remarks surfaced during an interview with DJ Akademiks, which aired over the weekend on Rumble. The conversation covered a range of controversial topics, but things took a particularly awkward turn when Akademiks pressed Ye about his ongoing criticisms of Abloh, who passed away in November 2021.

When asked directly about his repeated attacks on his former friend, Ye gave a blunt and unsettling response: “I’m evil.” He didn’t elaborate, leaving an uncomfortable silence before the interview moved on.

Ye’s grudge against Abloh isn’t new. Last month, he criticized him yet again in a now-deleted X/Twitter post, lumping him in with Drake and Travis Scott while calling him “fake cool.” Despite saying he loved Virgil, Ye claimed the designer had used him, later making a bizarre statement about Nigerians being “super smart.” His anger wasn’t just directed at Abloh—he also lashed out at other former friends, including Pusha T and Kid Cudi, saying they had turned their backs on him.

Adding to the controversy, Ye has previously pushed an unfounded conspiracy theory that LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault was responsible for Abloh’s death. Ignoring the fact that Abloh passed away from a rare and aggressive cancer, Ye wrote in an Instagram post, “Bernard Arnault killed my best friend,” while also ranting about unrelated topics.

Despite Ye’s history with Abloh—including years of friendship and collaboration—his repeated attacks have left fans baffled. Many are questioning why he continues to speak negatively about someone who can no longer defend themselves.
