While her sisters Toni and Trina stood by her side as bridesmaids, one notable absence stirred up speculation—Tamar Braxton was reportedly not in attendance. The Braxton family has had its fair share of public disagreements, and Tamar’s absence has only fueled ongoing rumors of tension between her and Towanda.
The wedding wasn’t short on star power, with several celebrities reportedly in attendance, including Terri J. Vaughn, Derek Blanks, Ebony Steele, Cocoa Brown, Lawrence Robinson, Ryan Cameron, Frank Ski, Xscape’s Tameka Scott, Mister Ray, Claudia Jordan, Mimi Faust, and Jamie Foster Brown. However, Tamar’s no-show has sparked conversation, especially given the Braxton sisters’ history of ups and downs.

The drama between the sisters has been unfolding on The Braxtons, their WE tv reality show, which returned this summer after a three-year hiatus. This marks their first season filming without their sister Traci, who passed away in 2022 after battling cancer. While the family has been grieving their loss, tensions between Tamar and Towanda have continued to make headlines.
One of the most talked-about moments this season came during a grief counseling session in Episode 2. Tamar accused Towanda of being emotionally distant, claiming that she only hears from her when cameras are rolling. Towanda refuted the claim, saying she is focused on her relationship and her children. When Tamar pointed out that Towanda still communicates regularly with Toni and Trina, Towanda responded that those relationships are “reciprocal.”

Fans have taken sides in the ongoing sibling feud, with social media buzzing about the confrontation. Some viewers believe Towanda has longstanding issues with Tamar, while others think Towanda is simply jealous of Tamar’s success. The family has a history of seeking televised therapy, with past interventions from Iyanla Vanzant and Bishop T.D. Jakes, but as Toni once admitted, “Most of the time, I don’t like my family.” It seems that sentiment still rings true for some of the Braxton sisters today.
With Tamar missing from Towanda’s big day, speculation continues about whether the sisters can truly mend their relationship or if the divide is deeper than fans realize.
