Eric Murphy, Eddie Murphy’s son, and Jasmin Lawrence, Martin Lawrence’s daughter, are officially engaged! The couple shared the exciting news on November 30, just a few days after Eric popped the question on November 27.

Jasmin, 28, posted about the proposal on Instagram, sharing a video of the moment and writing, “11.27.2024 We’re engaged!!” She expressed how grateful she feels for their love, saying, “God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.” The room where Eric proposed was beautifully decorated with candles, white roses, and petals covering the floor, all set in front of a huge red heart display.

Eric, 35, and Jasmin went public with their relationship in June 2021, when Eric shared a sweet Instagram post calling her his “other half.” They also made their red carpet debut later that year at the premiere of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, where Eric worked on the film alongside his dad.
Martin Lawrence has been supportive of the relationship, calling it “beautiful” and mentioning how well the two get along. He joked about wedding plans, saying Eddie Murphy had already told him he’d be covering the bill for the wedding.
