The buzz surrounding the horror genre hit a fever pitch this week as syndicated radio star Angela Yee hosted a private screening of the highly anticipated sequel, “Smile 2,” at an exclusive venue in the heart of the city. Popular New York hip-hop artist Maino and singer/actor Rotimi were among the stars who pulled up. The film, set to terrify audiences in theaters today , brings back the chilling curse from the original 2022 film, ramping up the stakes with even more blood, violence, and horrifying smiles. “I think it might be the scariest movie of the year,” declared Yee, her excitement palpable as she mingled with guests. The sequel follows Naomi Scott as a pop singer whose life spirals into chaos when she experiences a series of increasingly disturbing events just before her tour. With a strong supporting cast, including Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, and Kyle Gallner reprising his role from the first film, “Smile 2 “promises a gripping narrative that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.
