Why The 76ers Co-Owner Believes Meek Mill Will Be Home Soon

In early November, Meek Mill was sentenced to serve two to four years for violating probation. His legal team as well as others believe the judge was very hard on him, but he remains in jail. Fans and several celebrities held a rally for Mill in Philly to fight for his freedom.

According to Hip Hop Lately, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin believe he will be home soon. Rubin and the rapper have been friends for quite some time and met at a game. He got a chance to visit Mill in jail last week and talked about it in an interview.

Rubin said, “He’s not mad at the world, he knows he’s just been dealt a rotten hand.” He also said, “I come from a world of honesty and integrity and I witnessed what I consider to be as bad an abuse of power as I’ve ever seen. And at that point I said to Meek that myself and others will do everything we can to support him… Hopefully he’ll be home for Christmas.” With Christmas only being several days away we aren’t to sure if he will make it for the holidays.
