Ghost Gets A Surprise Visit!
Ghost is eager to hit the ground running and start making some money again. He heads over to see his other baby, his club Truth cause he missed her so much.
Unbeknownst to him, Kanan is waiting for him in a car parked not to far from the club. Kanan is looking to make his move on Ghost and get operation payback in motion.
Kanan will have to put his plan to surprise Ghost on pause when notices that Ghost is about to have some company in the club. Back inside Truth, Ghost is all smiles as he soaks in the club atmosphere that he missed so much. His moment is interrupted by his *sarcastic voice* favorite person Simon Stern.
Stern is the last person on the planet that Ghost wanted to see right now and he is not to happy to see his former business rival. Ghost tries to dismiss Stern from his club, unfortunately for him though Stern is about to reveal some info to him that he’s not going to like. While in prison fighting for his freedom,Tasha took Stern up on his offer and borrowed a large sum of money from him. By doing so, Tasha has backed her husband into a corner and now he has to hear him out. Ghost is visibly perturbed at the situation now !
The loan that Tasha took gives Stern the necessary leverage he needed over Ghost to lure him into his latest venture. Stern’s racist ass wants Ghost to join his real estate group and use his melanin to acquire a minority business development loan and tax breaks..
Ghost has enough shit to worry about and now thanks to Tasha, Stern is officially back in the fold. Ghost’s unwanted meeting with Stern is interrupted by a phone call from Tony Teresi.
Teresi is growing impatient with Ghost and wants to know what’s the holdup with handing Tommy the phone. Unfortunately for Ghost, Tommy is in Chicago so he won’t be getting that phone no time soon. Now while Ghost is dealing with his business partner, Kanan is still waiting outside for the perfect opportunity to make his move. Kanan calls Jukebox to give her a progress report and she’s not happy that Kanan hasn’t gotten the money from Ghost yet.
Jukebox threatens to just go ahead and kill Riq if he doesn’t secure Ghost and the money as soon as possible. Who would have thought we would have experienced someone who is more cold-blooded and merciless than Kanan’s ass. Ghost and Riq are definitely in trouble with these two plotting against them.
After his unwanted meeting with Stern, Ghost heads home to have a conversation with Tasha about her decision to take Stern’s money. As you can imagine Ghost is furious that Tasha “made a deal with the devil” without informing him about it. Now one could say this is payback for Ghost not telling her about the deal he was offered that could have saved both her and the kids while he was still fighting his case.
Tasha main defense for taking the money from Stern was:
Thanks to the feds freezing all of the St.Patrick’s assets, Tasha had no choice but to make the move. Ghost finally calms down and explains the nature of the deal and how Simon want’s to use his ass for a tax break. The two finally agree on two things though:
A. Ghost can find a way to make this work for the family.
B. They still can’t trust each other but somehow, someway they will make this work for them.
One thing we all should have learned after watching four seasons of Power is that when Tasha and Ghost put their minds together they work magic.

Tommy’s Interesting Stay In Chicago
Tommy finally arrives in Chicago and he’s very nervous as he doesn’t truly trust the individuals he has to meet with. We are introduced to a new character named Jason Micic (Mike Dupod) ,he is the head of the suppliers who provide Tommy with the weight he moves.
Jason reveals to Tommy that Ghost is no longer in prison, Tommy would have known that information if he had his cell phone. Cutting right to the chase,Jason tells Tommy that they no longer want Ghost to be involved in any capacity with the drug operation. Tommy immediately thinks well duh he’s out of the game except for them using the club to move product. Jason is like nope, we want him off the table entirely, they don’t even want their products being moved in the club.
It sounds like they want Tommy to cancel Christmas on Ghost, BUT Tommy has already been down this road before and has no plans of venturing down it again.
With that established, Jason tells Tommy that either way Ghost has to go period! Jason also reveals to Tommy that they are expanding the business to Los Angeles and he wants Tommy to run both coasts but the catch is Ghost can’t be anywhere near it. Tommy gladly accepts the new role and it’s stipulations and is ready to head back to NYC but Jason insists he stays for the celebration. Something really fishy is going on here.
We catch back up with Tommy and he’s celebrating his new position with Jason and his crew. Everything looks all good as they are enjoying some fine cuisine (not people) and good alcohol.
Tommy isn’t holding back on the drinks and we learn that is exactly what Jason and co were hoping for. When they leave the restaurant Tommy is drunk out of his mind leaving him vulnerable to anything. Seizing the moment one of Jason’s men hit Tommy in the back of his head and throw him in the trunk of a car. When Tommy wakes up, he is pulled out of the trunk and thrown in front of an open grave.
The ghost of Milan is rearing its ugly head and Tommy is in trouble with the Serbs for his death. Petar betrays Tommy and tells Jason that Tommy went ahead without his approval and took out Milan. Tommy is beside himself and can’t believe what he is hearing and pleads his case that Petar knew about everything. While they debate for Tommy’s life a woman name Tatiana emerges from one of the vehicles. Jason has a quick word with her after hearing both sides. Jason comes back and the tension mounts, someone is going to die tonight for killing Milan.
Jason walks up Tommy and he has a vision of Holly as his life begins to flash before his eyes. Jason winds up killing Petar and sparing Tommy after Tatiana decides she believes what Tommy had to say. Tommy dodges another bullet…LITERALLY!
Tommy and Jason exchange pleasantries after that nerve-racking experience as if he didn’t have a gun to his head a few minutes ago. The two speak of looking forward to working with each other and Tommy gets the hell out of there. While on the road back to NYC, Tommy sees an exit sign for Cleveland – Holly’s hometown for those of you who forgot. If you did we don’t blame you because we quickly forgot about Holly once Tommy choked the life out of her. Tommy pulls up in front of Holly’s old house which is up-for-sale and notices a guy going inside.
Tommy heads inside the house as if he is looking to purchase the home initially. We learn his true intentions when he starts asking if the guy enjoys having sex with his daughters? Turns out the guy Tommy is speaking with is Holly’s uncle, Sam Weaver and Holly used to stay with him.
With a baseball in hand, Tommy continues to press Sam about his inappropriate actions with his then 9-year-old niece. Sam’s replies of her being “fast” and “she wanted it” didn’t help his cause as Tommy begins to go ham on his head like it’s a Donald Trump pinata.
Tommy definitely hasn’t gotten over Holly, we guess this is his way of coping or gaining solace for taking her life. But still deep down inside Tommy is definitely still hurting.

Dre vs Julio
We love Rotimi here at Stuff Fly People Like, we really do,but we cannot stand Dre and his double-crossing self. Last week we were absolutely ecstatic to see that Julio caught him having a conversation with Kanan at the temporary spot. Unfortunately Julio doesn’t get to share that information with the people who need to know and that is Tommy and Ghost.
Julio is fed up with Dre’s antics and that conversation between him and Kanan was the last straw. Julio and Dre eventually meet up and Julio presses Dre about that conversation. Dre who has become exceptionally good at lying to save his skin convinces Julio that conversation was about nothing and that he dismissed Kanan.
Dre manages to shift the focus on Cristobal going around boasting to the other primeras that he is getting more product than them. He also tells Julio about a plan that the other primeras are looking to gang up on Cristobal and that they want to meet. Julio was hesitant at first but then he agrees to the meeting. Once they go their separate ways sneaky ass Dre hits up Cristobal setting up a separate meeting. Dre links up with Cristobal and members of Julio’s for gang the Toros Locos.
Ghost originally saved his boy Julio from the gang by buying his freedom from them. They take their mantra of “blood in, blood out” very seriously and want Julio’s blood badly. Dre tells them that Ghost is no longer in the picture and agrees to deliver Julio to them. In return all they have to do is take him out and at the same time don’t make it look like a gang killing.
Damn Dre, Julio arrives at what he thought was going to be meeting but instead will be a battle for his life. His former Toros Locos brethren press him about leaving and let Julio know his blood is the only thing that will settle this.
Julio holds his own even though the odds were stacked against him. He was able to dispatch two of his attackers but was badly injured during the fight. Julio is eventually taken down by the leader and his signature 718 tattoo on his neck is cut off.
So much for not making this look like gang hit. This death hit hard though, Julio was one of our favorite characters on the show.
Things are going to get very interesting when both Tommy and Ghost find out about Julio,

An Unlikely Duo!
Kanan finally sees his opening to make a move on Ghost and finally get the plan in motion. Ghost literally looks as if he seen a damn ghost himself as he thought he finished Kanan once and for all.
Kanan forces Ghost into his vehicle and tells him to drive as he breaks everything down. Kanan reveals to Ghost that he has his son and if he wants to see him alive he will cough up the dough. Now here’s the thing about that, Ghost is broke and doesn’t have any money thanks to the feds.
Kanan of course isn’t trying to hear that shit and tells Ghost he better figure something out. Ghost is the master of quick thinking decides to hit up one of Tommy’s stash houses for the cash. The plan almost goes off without a hitch until Kanan decides to kill one of the dudes in the stash house. Now these two were supposed to be the dream team back in the day but it was quite comical seeing them working together. Especially seeing how sloppy Kanan is but nonetheless the mission is accomplished and Ghost has the money to free his son. During the journey to Riq’s location, Ghost does his best to connect with whatever ounce of brotherhood is left in Kanan.
Ghost manages to squeeze out who exactly is holding his son hostage when Kanan reveals that it’s Jukebox. She must be the Omar Little out of the crew cause Ghost looks absolutely mortified upon finding out that information.
Speaking of Jukebox her patience is wearing thin with everyone involved in this plan especially Riq. The young St.Patrick has no idea what his “friends” have in store for him, once he comes off his lean kick he decides he has to go home. Unfortunately for him, Jukebox has no intentions of letting him leave the location where he is being held alive. Riq makes his way towards the door but Jukebox is right behind him and gun-butts him in the back of his head knocking him unconscious. Honestly we have to admit we got a kick out of seeing that cause Riq’s annoying ass deserved it.
Ghost and Kanan finally arrive at Riq’s location, before they walk in the house Ghost makes one last pitch to Kanan to spare his son. It’s seem that maybe Riq reminded Kanan of himself when he was younger and he grew to like the kid as he hung out with him. Ghost’s frantic plea actually works because Kanan has a change of heart and hands Ghost a gun.
Now who saw that coming? Upon taking the gun, Ghost quickly turns it on Kanan and he isn’t surprised by the move. Ghost asks why did he give him the gun? Kanan tells Ghost that he’s not going to forgive and he is not going to let him go and that Jukebox is going to kill them both the minute Ghost’s gives her that money. Kanan isn’t even sure if Jukebox isn’t gonna kill him as well. So he makes the decision to help Ghost get his son back.
With a new plan in place they enter the hideout and the sight of his son tied up in a chair instantly puts a painful look on Ghost’s face. Things quickly escalate once Jukebox realizes that Kanan and Ghost are there to kill her and get Riq back. She doesn’t hesitate to put a gun to Riq’s head and threatens to blow his brains out in front of his father.
Jukebox forces Kanan to reveal what his true intentions were to Riq and tell him who he really is. Kanan tells Riq that Slim wasn’t real and that he was just gaming him to get the money. Kanan also reveals that he killed his own son Shawn because he was soft and not like Riq and he would do it all over again. Damn that boy Kanan is a cold-blooded brother. During Kanan’s testimonial, Ghost inches closer to Jukebox, she tells him to back up giving Kanan an opportunity to deliver the fatal gunshot wounds.
Ghost quickly frees Riq from the chair and hugs his son like he’s never hugged him before. Kanan quickly shifts his attention to Ghost and Riq with his gun pointed at them. Kanan decides to keep it moving telling Riq he will see him around, he picks up the bag of money and runs out of the hideout. We are left with image of Ghost and Riq still embracing after dodging a serious bullet.
We just hope Riq has learned a valuable lesson and cuts the nonsense out cause we ain’t got time for his antics no more. With these new developments we can’t wait to see how this all plays out on next week’s episode of Power, and of course make sure your right back here for out recap.
